Description
The innovative metal cubec trim from ATrim measure 2.5m in length and can be used to form a right-angled edge when finishing tiled corners, edges and even as a border feature. These stylish cube shaped trims are available in a variety of finishes including aluminium, stainless steel, marine grade stainless steel, brass, copper and our popular stone-effect designs.
Usage
This metal cubec trim is ideal for creating a professional finish and can be used to create a right-angled edge when tiling or when adding a border feature. There are a variety of finishes available with the chrome aluminium, matt anodised aluminium and brushed chrome all providing a high level of tolerance. We also offer a variety of stone-effect finishes including basalt, granite, limestone and sandstone and the modern matt black, which are all powder coatings applied to the durable aluminium cube trims.
For areas where a high level of protection against wear and tear is required, we recommend the standard stainless steel cube trim or the brushed stainless steel cubec trim, which are both ideal for use in exterior installations and industrial areas such as chemical processing plants, hospital environments and food processing areas.
In addition, we also offer a stainless steel marine grade metal cubec trim which is designed for installation within swimming pools and industrial applications. The 316 marine grade trim contains nickel, chrome and molybdenum, which provides this trim with an excellent resistance to harsh conditions, such as the presence of high levels of salt and chlorine.
Our brass and copper cube trims are also available with a brushed or polished finish, and can be used in high transit areas such as within tiled flooring. However, humid environments may cause darkening and oxidation, which can be removed using common polishing agents.
Installation
The trim is designed for simple installation, with anchorage points included to allow the trim to be secured into position below the tiling. In addition, as you would expect from a high-quality Atrim metal cubec trim, the various types of trims available are designed to create a uniform finish, however care should be taken to prevent damage of the trim from tile adhesive, mortar or other grouting products, with setting materials removed from the area quickly.
Maintenance
These square edge trims do not require any special maintenance, with a soft cloth and water ideal for removing general marks and cosmetic issues. A glass cleaner or mild detergent can also be used to remove stubborn stains and fingerprints. If an oxidation film builds up on the trim, it can be easily removed with common polishing agents. However, if the surface of the trim is damaged a recoating layer can be applied to provide added protection.
