ThermoSphere’s Membrane Mat is a heating and decoupling mat for tile and stone floors. It’s the perfect fit for ThermoSphere Ultimate heating cable too. So, you can have the best of both worlds.

Heating and decoupling in one

There are two key components to the ideal electric underfloor heating for tile or stone floors. The first is the unique ThermoSphere Ultimate heating cable and the second is the Membrane Mat.  It’s an easy way to create warm floors and comfortable rooms, while protecting tile or stone floors from cracking and delamination. Just like all our Thermosphere heating range, it’s backed by a comprehensive lifetime warranty when the installation is registered.

Save time with self-adhesive

There’s no need to buy extra tile adhesive, if you choose the self-adhesive option, just stick it straight onto clean plywood or OSB sub floors. Choosing the self-adhesive option also saves 3mm height within the floor build up.

The decoupling, waterproofing and load bearing properties of this Membrane Mat help to protect hard floor finishes.

The stud design allows you to choose between two cable layouts to achieve your ideal heat output.

Decide what is best for your floor heating project. Either a fleece-backed or a self-adhesive mat.

Decoupling properties neutralise lateral movement in tiled floors and minimise the risk of cracking.

4. Minimal height

If you are looking to minimise floor height, the Membrane Mat is only 5.5mm thick.

Ideal for wet room projects

The waterproofing properties of the Membrane Mat makes it the ideal for use in wet room projects. Combining it with the ThermoSphere Ultimate electric heating cable means you’ll have an IP68 rated floor heating system that can simply be tanked to create a luxurious feel to wet rooms.

Choosing the right heating output

Thanks to the stud design of the Membrane Mat, you can choose between two different outputs and you do this by changing the spacing between the cable. Using a two-stud spacing for an output of 195W/m2 (ideal for wet rooms) and a three-stud spacing for an output of 130W/m2 (great for well-insulated buildings).
